29.Aria (Soprano) †

Der Sohn soll sterben, ich soll leben.
Gott will mir ihn zum Mittler geben,
also hat Gott die Welt geliebt.
Nun steht der Himmel wieder offen,
nun darf ich auf das Erbe hoffen,
das er dort den Erlösten gibt.

The Son shall die, while I shall live.
God will give me him as Mediator,
thus has God so loved the world.
Now that Heaven stands open again,
now may I hope for that inheritance
he will give to those who have been saved.
