- Q:SON(Service Oriented Network)
- Sprint:SOA
- Q:Video Trafic
- Q:Mobile TV
- ATT:DVR
Mr. Stankey’s nearly 30 years experience has helped position AT&T as a leader in the telecom industry, including the company’s world-class integrated IP network spanning six continents with 863,000 fiber optic route miles, MPLS nodes in 143 countries and carrying more than 17 petabytes of data traffic every day.

Abstract:Service oriented network concepts are key to the transformation occurring in Telco back-offices. Service providers recognize the need to integrate existing OSS/BSS systems and to take advantage of new platforms. At the same time, there is a growing recognition that the Telco OSS/BSS systems provide functionality that can be marketed directly to businesses, opening up new revenue opportunities. During this session, you will learn how treating the OSS/BSS systems as a part of the service oriented network can bring this to fruition.
Vish Nandlall Chief Technology Officer、Extreme Networks
Abstract:Carriers store more information on their subscribers than banks; who did you call and when, text messages sent and received, location, user profile, free minutes/texts remaining and much more. Operators also run a valuable set of services like send SMS/MMS/email, user alerts, voicemail, IVR services, chat, all of which they have kept to themselves and in a few cases exposed to other networks (e.g. SMS roaming) or resold aggregators (e.g. SMS billing, location). At the network layer, concepts such as P4P has emerged which allow optimized routing for overlay applications. Finally, the operators have a carrier-grade scalable billing system, which is trusted and already linked to many subscribers. There has been little motivation for operators to expose this combined intelligence (context + comms + Network + OSS) to any third party - but the threat of disintermediation in over the top applications has changed the game.
The standards community is in full swing with service frameworks being developed in ATIS SON, GSMA one API, TMF, OMA and OASIS. Additionally new developer communities such as Vodaphone's Betavine and Orange's Partner, are starting to emerge. During this session, you will learn how these tentative new steps will lead ultimately to a new "carrier cloud" community, akin to Google apps engine or Amazon EC2, where opportunities will exist for operators to leverage off-deck applications to augment their offer bundles.

Abstract:In the end, it's all about the services that tomorrow's service oriented networks deliver. During this session discussion will be held on what services hold the most promise, if there is a killer application waiting to be discovered, whether the next generation of services will be network driven or will they be delivered over the top of tomorrow's IP networks.
Dr. Brenda Ann Connor Director, Business and Solution Creation, Ericsson, Inc
Abstract:Top line revenue growth has never been more important. Service oriented networks unleash rapid value creation leveraging legacy network assets in service today as well as new IMS and Web 2.0 blended services, targeted at consumers and at enterprise customers. Learn how Telco 2.0 service ecosystems facilitate the quick creation, testing, and on-boarding of innovative services and how service oriented networks can own the value and wealth generation of tomorrow.
