• As computing becomes more pervasive across an ever--increasing array of devices, the requirements for a compelling computing experience become more complex. • Q1: Do you believe the new generation chip Sandy Bridge have a big impact to not only Laptop but Tablet?
  • Answer: New chip impacts are not only graphic power, but more general... I would like to say visual computing. New chip is not just for gamer, nowadays everyone use a digital camera, watching Youtube and so on. Consumer’s usage behavior has been changed. Media consumption of user will continuously increase. We need big processing power of graphics that is why we develop a new chip.
• Q2: Recently everyone say Datacenter and Cloud computing, such a age, why we need powerful chip? Used be or now we use Photo Shop on local machine...but soon cloud application take over those package software... so why we need new chip?
  • Answer: Bandwidth increase recently like WiMAX, Wi-Fi... but not enough to exchange have file between local and cloud Data Center. Network speed will increase and cloud application has been more developing...but few years (more than 5years) need to support visual computing.... generally, cloud applications will require more graphic and processing power on local machine... this is a trend new and few years continue. This is a relation of Cloud and Laptop which we believe.
• Q3: Used be desktop is a King of PC but now Laptop is King. Those change has been taken only few years, less than ten. New we believe Tablet PC is emerging. Of course, Apple iPad is limited capability... Display oriented machine... not enough processing power... limited input output capability. But iPad open a new market which call Tablet. Do you think user will be migrate from Laptop to Tablet? Or user diversified deferent models... fragmented on them? How do you think?
  • Answer: Laptop still a King in few years. Tablet need long time to mature as level of Laptop. Anyway, you should see tomorrows presentation, your answer is there...Atom chip solution.
• Q4: Last question... Real market now your Intel architecture are dominant data center and PC market. IA is strong but maybe 1 or 2 percent of engineer community especially in cloud computing/high power computing, they believer RISC is more appropriate for large scale high density data center facility I mean 100 thousand CPU on the lack... RISC is so low power less heating. Maybe future IA is not able to dominant such a area.. How do you think.
  • Answer: Yes anything has happen in future. Cloud computing is a new model of information processing world. We are ready to change. We are eye on the RISC and many change of cloud computing. We, Intel are very flexible more than you think.
