    • �ァ�DHTならアマゾンのDynamoもあるね。その他、Project Baltimorem（オープンソース）もある。スケーラビリティーを追い求めるにはSQLでは不十分。MPP SystemでData Analyticを始めるために、DHTなどの模索が始まっている。フェースブックは、現在5テラバイトぐらいのデータ。過去3年で3倍に増加している。

    • �▲侫�ーチュン500企業は500から5000本のアプリケーションを運用しており、システムに柔軟性がない。クラウドはそうした企業にとって新しいビジネスモデルを提供する。
    • �．�ラウドと一言で言うが、6種類ぐらいの分野をさしている。それをごちゃ混ぜに話すことになる。プライベート・クラウドはスケーラビリティーやフレキシビリティーには限度がある。その点、パブリックは強力だし、セキュリティーもしっかりしている。TIBCO社がクラウド分野で本格的なERPサービスを狙っている。

    • 最近ユーザネームのサービスを導入。最初はトラフィックが集中するため、チャットなどのサービスを制限することも検討した。フェースブックはPHPを基本に開発している。フェースブックは本人だけでなく友達、友達の友達などの情報をリンクして表示する。そのためデータのリンクはデータセンター間にまたがる。
    • スケーラビリティーは高くつくが、ケチってはいけない。Flashを導入しシステムは大幅に負荷がへった。

  • Enterprises are cautious about migrating their most demanding applications to public clouds. Public cloud infrastructure can’t run all existing enterprise applications, particularly the most mission critical, without some modification and more advanced management software. IT also faces concerns about security and control. Yet the lure of self-service provisioning and usage-based pricing is still strong. The solution? Build your own cloud with your existing infrastructure investment as a first step.     • �ぅ轡好海�ServerとStrage,ネットワークをひとつの仮想化パッケージにまとめた。クラウド（仮想化）では、常に物理的なコンフィギュレーションとロジカルなコンフィギュレーションを分離し、柔軟性を確保する。これは実に難しい。

    • セールスフォース社は6万社、約200万人のユーザーを抱えている。国内と海外にそれぞれ2カ所データセンターを持っている。
    • Sales Automation、Call Center Appli、Platform（Force.com）が事業の3本柱
    • 最近の企業ユーザーはベンダーの話に耳を貸さなくなった。ユーザーはユーザーの情報を重視する。そうした関係からユーザーの要望でPaaS（Force.com）を開発した。ユーザーにとってMobile Appの開発環境がどうしても必要だったから。

  • We're building huge Cloud Computing cities, but are we neglecting the already clogged broadband highways between them? As internal data center networking speeds start to exceed 40 Gbps, the pipes that connect those clouds to the outside world and each other will hit their limits.     • ��TCPは時代遅れ。プロトコルの手直し無しには、パフォーマンス問題の根本的な解決はない。ユーザーにとって、遅延なども含めた本当のスピードで料金（Congestion base price）もあってよい。
    • �Ε好圈璽鼻並唹茵砲世韻任覆�、クオリティーやセキュリティーが必要。ネットワークの知性化は避けられない。最近、AmazonがユーザーのデータをCDに焼いてフェデックスで送るサービスを開始した。皮肉なことだ。
    • ��　（誰がBB整備の費用を負うのかとの質問に）我が社（AT&T）が背負うことになる。BBといえば、ビデオのトラフィックが増加しており対応しているし、センサー・ネットワーク・タイプのサービス開発にも力を入れている。
    • �ァ．屮蹇璽疋丱鵐匹寮鞍�は課題が多い。本当に整備しきれるのか。多額の投資を回収できるのか...まだ疑問がある。
    • �ぅぅ鵐拭璽優奪箸隆靄椹彖曚任△�End-Endソリューションは、クラウドにとってあまりに無理がある。この思想は限界に来ており、変化が必要だ。
    • ��（モバイル網のBB化についての意見を求められ）AT&TはHSPAやLTEの整備を進める。しかし、基地局の設置数が不足しており、現状では数十Mbps程度がモバイルの限界となるだろう。
    • �◆�Contetns Base Distributionの可能性について意見をもとめられ）コンテンツがどの部分を差すのかは、意見が分かれる。一昔に比べれば、現在のスイッチは高いレイヤーの部分を取り扱うようになっている。（ペイロードに踏みいれば）プライバシー問題にも触れるかもしれない。もちろん、アプリケーションの振る舞い（プロトコル・レベル）や通信手順によるパケットの重複など、まだまだBBでは最適化できる部分が多い。

    • �Α．筌奸爾麓�前のCDNを持つ。パフォーマンス確保には欠かせない。パフォーマンスvsレベニューには注意している。しかし、一度失ったユーザーはパフォーマンスを改善しても戻ってこない。
    • �ぁ�State／Statelessなどトラフィックのタイプは様々。MSではCDNだけでなく、エッジでコーディング・エンジンを持つネットワークを構築している。
    • ��Googleはスピードを重視している。Google Mapを見て欲しい。ネットワークだけでなく、バックエンドのデータセンター内も最適化しなければならない。ソフトウェアも最適化が必要。Bigtableから伝送路まですべてを最適化して初めてパフォーマンスは確保できる。
    • ��Googleの場合、たとえばGFSの効率が3%良くなっただけでも、サービス全体に大きな影響を与える。（←最適化のやり直し）

    • ��Googleはご承知の用にWharehouse sizeのデータセンターを全世界に展開している。世界レベルでデータセンターの最適化するのは大変で、高い技術が求められる。
    • �ゥ泪ぅ好據璽垢浪甬�5年、スピードを追求してきた。最近、Flash技術の導入で効率が高まった。（バックアップに対する質問で→）一度、ユーザー情報を失い、手動で行っていたバックアップがあって助かった。以来、バックアップには人一倍神経を使っている。
    • �Ε筌奸爾離丱奪�アップはローバストでローコストな物を第一世代として利用した｡現在は、バックアップのスピードが速い新タイプを採用している。また、テープのコピーを取って用心している。
    • ��MSはデータセットのコピーを複数のデータセンターで展開している。
    • IPv6に対応しているか？との問いに、していると答えたのはLinked-in、Google、MSの3社のみ
    • �Ε筌奸爾�V4のみに対応している。アドレス枯渇は数年先の話。10年おきに行うシステムの大型更新で対応する事になるだろう。
    • ��MSはV6に対応するため、ルーティング・テーブルのメモリー拡張やアプリケーションの動作確保など様々な対策を進めている。対応は多方面にわたるので、すぐに終わるような仕事ではない。

    • Om and Vishal Sikka of SAP will explore the challenges to the general adoption of cloud computing and ask whether cloud computing is ready for prime time use in the corporation. The conversation will also delve into the position that SAP will take in the cloud computing landscape's evolution and what steps it will take in setting industry standards.

    • ��既にSAPのユーザーは既存の製品でクラウドに挑戦している。最大の課題は大規模運用の確保だ。SAPとしては、まずプライベート・クラウド市場を狙ってゆく。もちろん、パブリック・クラウドにも手をつけるが、この分野はアプリケーション・インテグレーションが難しい。
    • ��中小企業向けは、SAP by Business Designで対応することになる。また、将来的にはプライベート・クラウドとパブリック・クラウドの間でIT資源（ワークロード）の調達や最適化なども考えている。中小企業向けにはERPの一貫したサービスを提供したいとも考えている。
    • ��大規模とは、120から180Million Transaction/dayを確保する事だ。これほどのデータを処理することは容易ではない。
